Saint Valentine of Terni was a Catholic bishop who was popularly known as the patron saint of lovers. His story is intertwined with Saint Valentine the priest. That is why the Church celebrates two Saint Valentines on February 14th .

“Saint Valentine, who sowed kindness, love and peace on Earth, be my spiritual guide. Teach me to accept the defects and faults of my companion and help him to recognize my virtues and vocations. You, who understand those who love each other and wish to see their union blessed by Christ, be our advocate, our protector and our blesser. In the name of Jesus! Amen!”
