Saint Symphorian

Sinforiano, son of the noble Faust, was educated in the Christian life. He lived in the city of Autun, almost entirely pagan, under Roman rule. During a procession, in honor of Cybele, he allowed himself to be recognized as a Christian. For this, he was tried and martyred in 257.
