Saint Mary Eugenia of Jesus

Saint Maria Eugênia de Jesus was a woman who faithfully followed Jesus Christ, offering her entire life to the Church and the Kingdom of God. She founded the Congregation of Religious of the Assumption, whose objective was to transform society through education, through the Gospel. From her experience with God, she became a disciple of Jesus, motivating young people to join her in the dream of bringing love and Christian faith to the entire world. Today, there are more than 1000 nuns working in 31 countries, including Brazil. Saint Mary Eugenia was officially recognized as a saint by Pope Benedict XVI in 2007. She continues to inspire many people to be strong and joyful witnesses of the Resurrected One.
